Typography : Shoes

Shoes. 

Staring at my shoe cupboard, I see my neatly arranged, well cleaned and polished shoes. 

For me, my shoes are like my babies (so many!). They need good pampering and cannot be handled badly. They need to be shiny & smooth. They need to be kept in their original place by the end of the day besides their best friend (shoe).

I can do all of this for them with ease because they're of greater help to me. 

They make me feel confident, tall and they complete me. Every single time, I walk out my door, I'm never disappointed with what I'm wearing in my feet, they make me happy.

We have that one pair of shoes that can be worn on just-about-anything, whether it matches or not, you'll wear it anyway because it is your favourite pair. 

That pair that makes you flip with happiness, makes you do a sexy walk and at the same time makes you run around like a child. 

That pair that attracts a lot of attention, that turns heads. 

I don't have one pair in particular because they're all my favourite. My babies!

I remember every little detail about each shoe. Where I bought it from, the famous walk down the shop alley to check if it fits correctly, smell of the new shoes, the first time I wore them, where I wore them and so on. 

Some shoes are bought with planning, that goes somewhat like this – [ XYZ have launched their new shoe collection. Large shoe range. Eyes stop at this one shoe (& its price), eyes don't move, eyes are stuck there for really long. Shut the window – think about the shoe – eat – think about the shoe – go to bed – dream about the shoe – happens for almost a week]. That's how the well planned shoes make way in our wardrobe. 

Then we have the impulsive yet good buys – Walking in a mall, eyes are glued to this shiny pair of shoes, followed by the faster-than-the-cheetah-run, you grab them, pay the price – followed by the i-own-the-best-shoes-pride walk. 

We also have the-buy-in-bulk shoes because of its low price. Times when we walk in flea markets, see lovely shoes for a cheap bargain & buy them in almost all colours. 

Shoes are an investment.  Shoes make you happy.  Shoes are your best friends.

Every shoe has a story.
