Beautiful world

Hello! HELLO! :D
This post is a mixture of fashion & art. To begin with, this is the last set of pictures that I shot in Goa. You’ll see all new posts of me in Mumbai (with the cloudy rainy weather, sigh).
Cloudy rainy weather reminds me of something awesome to share with you ! Ever since college has begun, I promised myself to travel via public transport (Bus) to get to college. (There is a reason to it & an amazing one!)
Today, I climbed onto the bus & got myself a window seat. It was drizzling a bit but bright enough to sketch inside the bus. In my 15 minutes journey to college, I sketched so many things ( & humans) around me. Its so good to sketch, it helps you observe things & love everything around you. So my suggestion to you : Get out & sketch! You might not be the best artist, but its fun to see things around you in a better & new perspective : )
Since these images are the last set of my Goa trip, I saved the best for the last. It was a perfect location, windy & beautiful. I would sit here forever & ever !

For the ones who are here to read about Fashion :

Shamika wore ..

Star hair clips - VERY, T-shirt - Flea Market (Colaba Causeway), Floral pants - Goa

I wore ..

Sailor dress - Topshop, belt - Bangkok, neckchain - Styledrive, Ring - VERY.

Us together :)

For those of you who are here for Art :

There are 2 illustrators who have gotten me insanely, deeply & madly in love with their work.

Mario Miranda

Mario is a Goan artist known for his fabulous illustrations! He can NEVER disappoint his fans, have a look !

The painted walls of the famous Cafe Mondegar, Colaba.

What I love about Mario's work is his simplicity. His illustrations are simple but still detailed. I love the use of the thick black border.( You may also notice the use of the border in Mr.Bean illustrations).
Another style of Mario is the elimination of the flesh tint & usage of plain white. And of course, the addition of humour in ALL his illustrations reflects what he really is. : )

Sameer Kulavoor

Studied in Mumbai, a fabulous illustrator who never fails to amaze people. See for yourself ..

What amazes me the most is the vivid colours he chooses ! If you notice, every illustration has a beauty of its own. The first one is so amazingly detailed & beautifully illustrated - it is my favourite !
To view his work, visit his website : http://www.sameerkulavoor.com/ :)

Thats all for today !
If you do get around to sketching, mail me your sketches! I would love to see how talented you are ! :)

Until next time,

Bises :*

Self - love

Hi beauties! : )
College has started & I'm busy already. Really really busy with a lot of new, interesting assignments & deadlines!
No! I'm not moaning & cribbing about it, it actually makes me happy. I've discovered something new about myself - I love being busy. (Thus the title of this post)
Anyhow, a few days back I was fishing my moms wardrobe for her pearls when I came across a floral dress with shoulder pads ! It was her favourite dress from her college days & I've got to transfer it from her wardrobe to mine. I'm thinking of re-designing it into a blazer. Tell me your views/suggestions on that !

Moving on to my second set of holiday-ing pictures : )
This was a very sunny day & we decided to wear summer prints.

Shamika wore
Orange glasses - Goa, Brown Basic T-shirt - Flea market (Colaba Causeway), Jumpsuit - Goa, bag - Lifestyle, Flip flops - Goa.
I'm in love with the print !

Colour me cute

I'm having a fabulous week ! I put aside all my responsibilities, picked a book ( John Grisham - The Partner) & read till the skies were cleared. It has been raining continuously! Sometimes, I'm not even sure if it is afternoon or night until I check the clock. As much as I despise getting dirty in the rains, I love reading a book in my balcony on a peaceful gloomy day. And that is exactly what I'm doing till my college begins! :D
I'm down with viral fever & a bad throat ( Tonsils, argh!) but that doesn't stop me from feeling happy, right? Right ?
Anyhow, on my getaway - I visited Goa. While I was visiting various places there, my sister & I managed to click a few pictures in 3 different outfits ! We love colours & so our first outfit was very colourful ! : )

Model : Shamika (my sister)
Photographer : Myself.
