The Summer Clutch
I made this Summer Square Clutch from my old jeans! I made the flower out of cloth along with some buttons & TADA! Summer Clutch ready!
It wasn’t very easy actually, I used a lot of hot glue (which was all over my fingers, my finger tips were white & were burning!) & I kept poking myself with the needle while stitching!
So, I made this pretty Summer Clutch for YOU. Sadly, since this is my first give-away, I can post it within India. But, there is always a next time :D

While you ladies style yourself & mail me your entries, I’ll be away for a week. I’m off to Goa to breathe in fresh salty air, make sand castles , eat good food & go to spas! :D
I shall miss you (sobs!) but I’ll be back in a jiffy!
Promise you to post more often once I’m back.

Oh & I had a haircut ! :D Thank you BANg'D Salon ! :)

Yes,I look like a retard. You'll see better pictures soon :p I wore my blow fish face since morning *blush*

P.S : You could also mail me suggestions, questions or anything at all ! I’d love to hear from you ladies! <3

Until next time,

Bises :*

Inspired Indian : )

It has been about 1 month since summer break has started & I'm missing art college already !
I was flipping through my art works & I came across a lot of information I had collected on Pattachitras. Pattachitras are originated from Orissa. They depict the life of Gods
& demons. It is like a comic strip depicting stories of Great Lords. It was my favourite theory subject, the research was a never ending process! I love Pattachitras and the amazing artists who came up with them.
Manas Dash, the fabulous Fashion Designer has his entire collection on pattachitras.
I came across his collection a few days back & I'm love with them since then <3
Looking at his fabulous work, I was SO inspired ! I did an Indian look today (sadly couldn't include any Pattachitra elements!)
Here you go!

Jacket - Kashmir, Basic T-shirt - Forever New, Harem Pants & bag - Colaba Causeway, Shoes - Inc.5, Bangles - random, neck piece & white flower ring - Accessorize, Violet Ring - Bangkok, bindi - Moms

 We all have retard moments,right ? ;p

Rapunzel-ism

Before I start this post, I want to thank everybody who has loved me & my hair! :D
To tell you the truth, I'm not a big fan of my hair all the time. I love it (& seem to be insanely weirdly happy) when I have good hair days but bad hair days KILL me, they are knotty sometimes or just don't look good enough! I have dry hair during Winter so its unmanageable sometimes too!
In today's post, I shall share with you all my little secrets that I keep in mind to have maintained hair ! :)
Before I start on that, I'd love to share with you something I experienced last year !
I read about this Sunsilk hair competition somewhere & sent in my photo just for fun & I won the contest ! :D I won a photo shoot & a chance to be seen in Femina-India !
The photo shoot was so much fun, they had lovely music playing at the back, the make-up aritst was amazing with her work
& the photographer was fun to shoot with! The Femina team was indeed very friendly! :)
The photo shoot was about getting a Priyanka Chopra look.
left - myself in Femina India, right - Priyanka Chopra.
I wore a FCUK front bow dress,it was so gorgeous! And a pair of Charles & Keith shoes.:)

After this shoot, I started feeling very happy about my hair! :D

 SECRETS :
  * I oil my hair before 15 mins before every hair wash.
    * Wash your hair every alternate day or once in 2 days (depending on the nature of your hair)
    * Trim your hair once in 3-4months (I cheat a lot!)
    * NEVER comb your hair when it is wet or sleep with wet hair - it becomes brittle & breaks easily.
    * You could try putting egg paste on your hair to make it smooth. (I'd hate to put an animal on my head, makes me guilty!)
    * Someone asked me once if my curls are natural or if i set my hair daily : My curls are natural, I have a tendency to play with my hair all the time so they become wavy & bouncy :D
    * My hair is VERY dry sometimes & I hate using products daily,so I use Livon-I Love My Hair to get rid of the frizz. You must try it too! :)
    * Since I like keeping my bangs straight, I pin them up after a hairwash or if i'm in a hurry, I cheat & using my straightening tongs! I have no fear of spilt-ends near my bangs area cause I trim it regularly ( no cheating here!)
    * I use L'oreal shampoos & conditioners but right now I'm using VO5 Strawberry Conditioner. My hair smells so good with it ! Try it - they have many flavours too!
    * Lastly, your hair needs food like you do! Consume LOTS of proteins! I eat peanuts (I'm addicted!) almonds & cashew nuts at regular intervals. I loathe the other protein rich food : Eggs, milk, soya, cheese, fish, beef, chicken. You could also have peanut butter sandwiches *barf*

I hope my secrets & tips helped you! You could share with me what you do to have lovely hair too! : )
Another little something that I wanted to share with you..
I've read and seen a lot about isms. Amongst Impressionism,Cubism,Realism,Futurism etc. my fav ism is surrealism. You can read about it & never get tired. Such talented artists belonging to this ism *gasp*
It has been about a month since I've been thinking of creating a surrealistic piece of art. I'm so inspired by Salvador Dali <3
  • My fav. painting - The Persistence Of Memory.
Dali makes a world of his own <3

Enough of me now! Have a happy Monday! :D (am I the only one who loves Mondays as much as weekends?!) I'm in a very artistic mood this week!

Until next time lovelies,

Bises.

9am - 6pm

Hello ladies! :D
I've some news to share! I received  my second award - One Lovely Blog Award! Thank you Rohinie ! You can see the bagde in the right column!
Also, B:kind clothing collection is a must have this summer! Check their stuff here ! :)
I have been SO lazy since the past few days, faffing around my house, not wanting to go outdoors, reading books, watching TV shows & doing nothing at all ! It feels SO good! Yes,I KNOW it is Summer but here,in Mumbai it doesn't feel like it (can you believe it!?) It has been kind of gloomy & I'm not a big fan of the monsoons so I'm staying indoors!
Moving on to what I wore! Today, I styled myself in formal clothing (thus, the blog title!).
Regular office or outdoor meetings, you need to be comfortable in what you're wearing. I chose a high waist pencil skirt and a ruffled top because it is feminine, produces a beautiful silhouette and is extremley comfortable!
I'm a sucker for lace & pearls - which might be noticed in most of my outfits! : )
You could tie your hair on one side if the heat is killing you or let your hair fly with the wind. :)
Earrings - Aldo, Dress worn as a top, shoes & satchel - Bangkok, skirt - Promod, Pearl bracelet - Moms, Ring - Styledrive

Love the lace details on the blouse and shoes! :)

You could get a similar look! :D
Satchel - FCUK, Shoes - Elsie, Dress - Dorothy Perkins

I have a lot of birthday's coming up & a lot of gifts to make! Its keeping me so busy & I'm loving it ! :D

Until next time,

Bises!

I ♥ High Waist

Everyday is a bright a day for me! =)
I was on my way for a coffee date (I hate coffee!) with my girls when I saw a little kid at a signal selling books. My life is really incomplete without a book to read & I needed to buy a new book,so I bought this chiclit book only for Rs.80! My luck!
What book are you reading ? :)
Ah so, today I wore my favourite high waist shorts! I'm in love with high waist this season!
It enhances your stomach & makes you look narrower than usual. I tried putting together a chic outfit but I carried the bow bag to add a girly touch.
