How I wish i could meet her at least once. Sadly, she passed away at the age of 63 ( 20 January,1993 - 9months after I was born!! ) due to appendiceal cancer.
Everybody loves Audrey! As Princess Ann, a European princess in Roman Holiday, the beautiful role in the romcom Sabrina,Eliza Doolittle in My Fairy Lady and also Breakfast at Tiffany's (my all time fav!) she looked stunning in all her roles!
Audrey's stardom created her status as a fashion icon then and even now.
Over-sized sunglasses, tiara, pearls, and elbow length gloves are all classic accessories that Hepburn's glamorous, party girl character, Golightly, wore in "Breakfast at Tiffany's." Real-life Hepburn was also occasionally seen in scarves, large floppy hats, pill box hats, and headbands.
Her petite beautiful body is a result of practicing ballet as a child. :)
Fashion statement neck pieces started by Hepburn are still worn today ( like our statement bibs!). High waist shorts & skirts are back in vogue (also started by Audrey).
A must-have in everyone's wardrobe - LBD (little black dress) was seen since Breakfast at Tiffany's(1961).

Her hubby brought her the fawn from Green Mansions(the movie) as a pet. She called him "Ip" ( short for Pippin).
She also owned a Yorkshire Terrier named Mr. Famous (cute isn't it?). After the death of Mr.Famous,she brought another YT & named him Assam of Assam.
She made a bed for him out of a bathtub! ( Clearly,creative and an animal lover! :) )

i love audrey too! i think she is simply amazing! thx for doing a whole feature on her. in today's time of over-the-top an din-your-face glamour,audrey reminds me of charming, humorous beauty. though i think new actors like Mia Wasakowski and Carey Mulligan are doing a great job(they remind me of audrey too)
